Who Can Check Out Material
All visitors are welcome to browse our catalogue. In order to check out materials from our on-line library you must be registered as a patron. Patrons are limited to family members who have a Deaf or Hard of Hearing child in their family; or to personnel who work in a school district that serves Deaf or Hard of Hearing students. Patrons must also have New Mexico residency.
How Do I Become a Member?
Check on the "Register" button. After reading the user agreement, click the agreement box on the bottom of the page. A Request Form will appear. Fill out all the fields and hit "Submit" Your form will automatically be sent to the Resource Librarian, who will contact you with your login name and password.
How Do I Check Out Materials?

Once you have found an item you want to borrow, click the "Add to Book Bag" button. When you are done selecting items (up to three) and are ready to complete your request, click on the "Book Bag" in the upper right hand corner. This will take you to the "Check-out" page.

When you get to the "Check-out" page, if you change your mind about an item, you will be able to clear an item from your Book Bag, and continue browsing. Once you click on the "Check-Out" button; however, you will not be able to change your Book Bag request.

How Many Materials Can I Check Out?
There is a limit of 3 items that can be checked out at any one time.
How Long After I Request Materials Will They Arrive?
Your packet of library materials should arrive within 10 days after you have requested them. If you do not receive them within 10 days, please contact the Resource Librarian, Priscilla Gutierrez
How Can I Reserve an Item that Is Already Checked-out?
If an item is not available because it is checked-out, click on the "Reserve" button. You will be notified when the item is available. If you are still interested in borrowing the item, it will be sent to you.
How Long Can I Borrow the Materials?
Materials can be borrowed for 30 days at a time. If you would like to renew any or all of the materials, contact the Resource Librarian, Priscilla Gutierrez. If there are no "reserves" for those items, you may borrow the materials for an additional 30 days.
How Do I Return Materials?
When your materials are mailed to you, a self-addressed NMSD label with postage will be included in the package. Please affix this label that includes return postage to the label on the envelope or box that included the materials, seal up the package, and drop it off at the post office.
What If I Lose the Materials or They Are Damaged?
Patrons who borrow from our on-line library are responsible for the materials. Patrons will be invoiced for the replacement cost for any item that is lost or damaged. If the invoice is not paid within 30 days, no other items can be borrowed until the invoice is paid.
